This thing was a little bit over my head. I didn't have the right equipment for a podcast, so my sweet 16 year old helped me make a video with her camera. I can see how this would be very useful for many ways in the classroom. Our second grade students have made podcasts with book reviews. This was a difficult thing that I could not have done without help from an experienced computer person. Although I could not do a podcast, I was very happy to tell you about the book Twilight. So impressed with you & your daughter and your video skills...use ZamZar to convert it to a form that can be seen in district...also if she learns to upload to Teacher Tube then you won't have to do the conversion!
PhotoStory & audacity should be on your new district laptop...but they can be downloaded...they are free downloads ...you may already have them! and a microphone headset is helpful but not necessary...most computers have adequate microphones built in...
